You say it best when you say less

Powerful communication is brief. Punkt.

"Reduce to the Max"
It’s a shame that one was already taken (thanks, Pepsi), because it would’ve been perfect for Skill Boxx.
If you asked me what the core skill of a communicator is, it’s exactly that: reducing (max) to (achieve) the max.

Boiling down the mess, leaving just the right amount to make the message land.

I must have been around eight when I first got a taste of this in primary school.

Our teacher told us a story about a family emergency: lost keys, flat tyre, tons of details.

Our task was to write a note for an absent family member about it.

So, off we went, writing our little novellas, tongues wedged between teeth.

Then the teacher showed us their note...
🤯 🤯

One sentence, stripped of everything but the essentials, an outcome, and a crisp call to action.

AHA !!!!! went my brain.

Today it’s the essence of what I do. I help brands, leaders, and organisations strip their message down to its most effective version.

It’s not easy to be concise and so tempting to add more context, more adjectives.

I've taken on the role of the teacher now, creating the figurative "one sentence" I was presented with as a primary pupil.

The discussions I've had over overcrowded PPT slides, page-long emails, and eye-wateringly complex value propositions...

Your audience will never know what your message could have been. They won’t see the extra paragraphs you left out or the beautifully written anecdote you cut.

They are busy, distracted and at best mildly interested in what you have to say.

Make it max easy for them to get to the core of your message and might just have a winner on your hands.

And should you need help doing it, DM me.
